Settle Steps

Terms of use

Last updated 21 September 2026

1. Who we are

Settle Steps is run by [your name or company], [your address], Bulgaria. You can write to us at contact@settlesteps.com.

2. Your account

You need a free account to buy and to open the guide. Keep your password private and use one account per person. If you think someone else has your password, reset it straight away on the reset page and write to us.

3. What you are buying

One payment gives your account personal access to the full online guide for the route you chose: the country you are leaving and the country you are moving to. Another route is a separate purchase. The access is for you and your household. Please do not share your login, copy the guide, resell it, or extract its content with automated tools.

4. How long access lasts

Access lasts for as long as the guide is online. You open it by logging in on any device. If we ever plan to take the guide offline, we will tell you by email first.

5. It is a guide, not advice

The guide is general information about administrative steps. It is not legal, tax or immigration advice, and it cannot know your full situation. Rules, fees and waiting times change. Each checked step links to its official source and shows the date it was checked: open the source before you act on anything with a deadline or a cost.

6. Price and payment

You pay the price shown at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your card details. Where VAT or another tax applies, it is shown at checkout before you pay.

7. Digital content and your right to withdraw

If you live in the EU or EEA, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content that starts straight away, that right ends once access begins, but only if you have asked for immediate access and confirmed that you understand this. At checkout you are asked to do exactly that.

8. Refunds

Separately from the law: if the guide does not cover your move, write to us within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full. This does not affect any rights you have by law.

9. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, such as fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on the guide, such as a missed deadline, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the price you paid.

10. Ownership

The guide and everything in it belong to Settle Steps. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use it as described above.

11. Partner links

Some steps suggest outside services, such as Wise, Revolut, SafetyWing, Feather, Sirelo or Airalo. If you sign up through those links, Settle Steps may earn a fee from that company. It costs you nothing extra. You never need these services to follow the guide, and your contract for them is with that company, not with Settle Steps.

12. Changes

We update the guide as steps change. We may also update these terms. The terms that applied when you bought stay in force for that purchase.

13. Law and complaints

These terms follow the law of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer rights of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. Please write to us first: most problems can be fixed quickly.
